Villarreal Idaho Academy teams will compete on the weekends in tournaments and leagues that match each teams' competition level. Although winning at the highest level is important, winning does not mean everything to our club. We want a long lasting focus and consistent improvements and growth on the individual development of highly-skilled, well-rounded soccer players with a proven curriculum based on Villarreal C.F. and other international training methods.

Through our professional scouting network, our players are evaluated week in and week out by our very own Villarreal CF academy in Spain. Our Spanish coaches use our practice footage, game footage, and coaching recommendations to help locate potential prospects. Furthermore,

Collegiate

If the professional route does not work as planned for our players, then college is the next best step. Not only will our players be able to continue their careers, but they also will be able to study at the college of their dreams. Each year, our staff creates scouting profiles with all of our players to send out to college coaches around the country. We also attend college showcases and tournaments with college scouts to further improve our players chances at receiving an offer.

International Playing Opportunities: Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer 2024

Teams from our club will be traveling to Spain's beautiful east coast to compete in the most exciting footballing and cultural experiences they could ever have - the international Villarreal Summer Experience. The Villarreal Summer Experience includes two incredible tournament competitions, Villarreal Academy Cup & Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer, from June - July .

Held at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza & the Ciudad Deportiva Pamesa Cerámica sporting facilities, home of Villarreal Club de Futbol, the Yellow Cup Summer is a youth international soccer tournament that will offer all of our Las Vegas players the unforgettable experience of competing as a team against some of the best professional youth soccer academies in the world.

The Yellow Cup Summer will play host to an incredible list of teams from all over Spain and across the world. These teams will meet for 9 days to share experiences that our kids will never forget for the rest of our their lives.

During this incredible football tournament, many additional fun & cultural activities are programmed for our teams to enjoy such as visiting the Estadio de la Cerámica, attending the Yellow Cup Summer opening event, visiting the beautiful Spanish cities of Valencia & Benicassim, and even attending the final party of the tournament with the distribution of medals, exclusive cocktail for attending parents, closing ceremonies, trophy delivery and many more surprises!

What makes our Soccer Specific Long-Term Athletic Development Program Perfect For Your Child's Education?

Mini-Submarines methodology focuses on early-childhood sports development to develop physical literacy, motor- and futbol skills through fun and exciting soccer games and drills through our “Soccer Specific Long-Term Athletic Development” (SSLTAD )tm model with the “Little Submarines”.

The ball and movement are in the center of the activities, children learn how to move their bodies and how to move the ball first by controlling it. This program gives the agility, balance, coordination, and speed (ABC’S) fundamentals which will prepare them for their future athletic endeavors and our Spanish football philosophy: where the key is in the movement of ball, which is taught through games and competitions in a fun, pressure free learning environment.
